In London, England, Big Ben has been attacked. Five policemen race from the tower, over London Bridge, and into the Blackbird, which is being piloted by Cyclops. Inside, the illusion of five policemen melts away, revealing Mastermind, Blob, Toad, Quicksilver, and the Scarlet Witch. Having attacked the tower in order to scare the British government from enacting their own Sentinel plan, The Brotherhood return to the Savage Land, with Cyclops expressing his guilt over participating in the attack.
In a hotel in Washington, D.C., Jean attemps to contact Scott, only to find his communicator is still inactive. She and Logan settle into bed for a morning romp in the sack while in the White House, Bobby, Ororo, Hank, Piotr and Xavier are taking a tour of the building with the President. He explains to the team that he is grateful to the X-Men for rescuing his daughter and has decided to stop the Sentinel program after one final mission. He goes on to say that due to Cyclops entering the Savage Land with the Blackbird, the US Government has determined the exact location of the Antarctic jungle refuge and has decided to send a fleet of Sentinels to eliminate Magneto and his terrorist operations. Despite protests from the Professor, the Sentinels launch and make their way to the South Pole.
Switching to the Savage Land, Cylops explains his disapproval of the murders in London. Magneto attemps to allay Cyclops concern by telling him to look at the bigger picture: it is homo superior's evolutionaly moral duty to replace humanity. Meanwhile, Pietro and Wanda relax in the jungle together watching the sun set. Pietro feels that their father is too hard on him, but Wanda assures him that Pietro is a great son. The two share a hug just as the Sentinels come swooping down from the sky, destroying buildings and flash-frying mutants in their wake. As The Brotherhood swing into action to rescue the surviving mutants, Magneto floats into the sky and, using his magnetic abilities, reformats the circuits in the Sentinels' programming, turning them into human hunting machines. Climbing atop one of the Sentinels, Magneto and the fleet head towards Washington in order to exact revenge for the attack on the Savage Land. As The Brotherhood attempt to regroup, Cyclops turns on his communicator and contacts Professor Xavier in order warn him of the imminent attack.
