Professor X sits in a surveillance room, checking in on the different cameras throughout and around the mansion. Sinister steps into the room; somehow he can avoid showing up on the cameras. Xavier tries to stop Sinister telepathically but can’t. Sinister rolls Professor X out of the room, and then shoves him down the stairs.
Meanwhile, having realized that Sinister is at the school, the older class of X-men sent out to find the mutant killer race home towards the mansion, praying they won’t be too late.
At the mansion, Sinister is about to shoot the unconscious Professor at the bottom of the stairs, but is stopped by Iceman. Sinister then shoots Iceman, only seconds later to have his guns knocked out of his hands by Warren’s wings. Using his mutant powers, Sinister takes hold of Warren’s actions and makes him choke himself; his concentration is broken, however, when he is knocked out the window by Dazzler. Outside, Sinister turns the tables and holds Dazzler by knife point. Rogue accidentally absorbs Warren’s powers, and a winged Rogue picks up Sinister and flies into the sky. Storm calms Rogue down, and instead of dropping Sinister, she simply knocks him out with a punch.
Three hours later, the X-men are weary but alive, with Bobby having a few broken ribs. Nick Fury arrives to take Sinister into custody. Sinister’s real name is Nathaniel Essex, a former bioengineer for Oscorp. He experimented on himself, causing himself to go crazy; eventually he started interacting with the voices he heard in his head.
At the S.H.I.E.L.D.’s Triskelion, Sinister sits in a cell, talking to his Lord Apocalypse. Sinister pleads for a second chance, offering to obey any order. In the cell, Apocalypse stands to the side and orders Sinister to choke himself. It is unknown if he is real or just a figment of Sinister’s imagination…
