Professor X and Jean visit Worthington Manor, home of Warren Worthington III, a mutant. Warren, as the house staff explain, lives there alone; his parents contacted the Professor in order to essentially remove Warren from their lives. As the Professor reels in disgust of the parents’ motives, Warren make a dramatic entrance, flying into the house via his pair of wings.
The Professor, Jean, and Warren arrive back to the X-mansion where the rest of the students are having a cookout. Warren is introduced, then led off to his new room. From his room’s window, he overhears a conversation initiated by Rogue, wherein she compares Nightcrawler’s demonic appearance and Warren’s angelic one to something right out of the bible.
Two days later, a crowd of people crowd at the mansion’s front gate; Beast, on another internet binge, announced the arrival of Warren on his website. This has caused the massive piling of religious fanatics in front of the mansion. The Professor announces that Warren has flown away due to all the stress, and he sends Storm after him because Warren is attracted to her. Beast does not look happy at that prospect.
Storm finds Warren, and after a combination of coaxing, flattering, and giving overall advice, Storm manages to get Warren to go back to the mansion. Warren lands in front of the gathered religious crowd, where he announces that he is no angel, only a mutant.
Later, Beast sits in a diner, reading a newspaper, when a shadowy figure approaches him. The figure announces that they can help Beast, and when they ask to sit down, Beast warily obliges.
