While the Sentinels continue their scan of the United States, Bobby, Ororo and Peter trek down to New York City for the day, wearing their scan-proof uniforms. The students remark on how they are adjusting to the school fairly quickly, but are still weary of Wolverine. Back at the mansion, a telepathic alert is sent to the X-Men from Marvel Girl, as Wolverine is murdering Cyclops on the mansion grounds. Wolverine twists Cyclops' neck and uses his optic blasts to take out Marvel Girl. When the other X-Men arrive Wolverine easily takes each of them out. As he turns to Charles Xavier, the background begins to fade and we find ourselves in the Danger Room, where Scott, Jean, Hank and Charles have been observing Wolverine's training excersize. Bobby bursts through the door with shocking news: Magneto has kidnapped the President's daughter, and if the Sentinel program is not halted he and the Brotherhood will kill her. While they are relieved that the Sentinel initiative has been halted, they agree to travel to Croatia to rescue the First Daughter.

In Croatia, the Brotherhood, Quicksilver, Scarlet Witch, Toad, Blob and Mastermind, are stranded, awaiting their transportation to the Savage Land. The X-Men make their move and attack the house the Brotherhood is hiding in. Colossus destroys the foundation of the house while Beast leaps in and snatches the girl. Using one of Iceman's ice-slides, Beast deposits the First Daughter directly into a sports car being driven by Cyclops. Unfortunately for them Quicksilver appears and removes the keys from the ignition. Cyclops blasts him off the hood of the car and into the grasp of Wolverine, who takes a swipe at Quicksilver's midsection. While Cyclops, Storm and the First Daughter are attempting to escape, they are ambushed by Toad, who smashes Cyclops and Storm, but is frozen in a block of ice before he can do the same to Iceman. Immobile, Storm puts the finishing touches on him with a solid kick to the jaw.

Meanwhile, Wolverine and the First Daughter are speeding away in the car while being attacked by the Scarlet Witch and her hex bolts. Enacting a daring plan, Wolverine drives the car right off a cliff, only to be caught in the Blackbird by Marvel Girl. Colossus notes that Magneto has arrived and cOngratulations are exchanged on a mission accomplished until Storm breaks in with bad news: a building collapsed on Beast and he has died.
