At the Louvre, Mastermind is scaring all the humans by making them see wasps. Multiple-Man asks him what he is making them see, spiders perhaps as he video records everyone running from nothing. After a brief discussion on French delicacies Mastermind asks why Multiple-Man isn’t stealing anything right before a copy walks by holding a painting he can handle two thoughts at the same time says the duplicate. Mastermind proceeds to ask about Multiple-Man’s powers with Multiple-Man doing the same. Having gotten all the paintings on the list they fly off.

At the white house new sentinels are shooting cardboard cutouts of the old brotherhood. General Fury and Vice-President Cheney are talking about these new sentinels. Moving into the White House Fury informs Cheney on how the White House is being turned into a fortress and Stark’s new mutant detector satellite that will pinpoint Magneto’s location. Moving into a control room the fate of the x-men as well as the multiple raids magneto’s conducting is discussed.

In Glasgow Central Station, Scotland Moira Mactaggert makes her way into a safe house created by Xavier with a public bathroom as the entrance. Walking in she is confronted by a bunch of young mutants asking if she remembered the sweets. A call comes on the phone from Germany. On the other side its Nightcrawler who wants to speak to Xavier as soon as possible. Moira then gives him the news, Xavier has been captured, Cyclops is dead and the x-men are in hiding. Back on the other side Nightcrawler is being pursued by police. Teleporting with the car past a roadblock set up by the police Nightcrawler says he will be with Moira in two days.

Back at Magneto’s base Sabertooth asks Forge how his doomsday weapon to amplify Magneto’s power 10,000 times is coming along. To which Forge replies everything is going fine and that for building it Magneto is going to give him Canada. Pulling aside someone Sabertooth asks about the painting of a castle flying on an egg shaped rock he’s carrying which turns out to be Magneto’s favorite painting called Le Chateau Des Pyrenees. Now outside the room Sabertooth is in Magneto’s base is revealed to look exactly like his favorite painting.

Up in Earth’s orbit at the space shuttle valiant two astronauts who are bickering over who got to talk to the president are assembling the mutant locating satellite. When Magneto suddenly appears, telling them not to worry that he is there just to destroy the satellite not to hurt them. Magneto begins picking apart the satellite. One of the astronauts now begins to make a last request wanting to say goodbye to his kids. Magneto however tells him that their lives are inconsequential he’s just going to disable to satellite a close down the electronics. But without the electronics how will they return to earth. “Like I said: inconsequential. Now I have some business to attend to.”
