At the John F. Kennedy Airport, a plane coming in for a landing suddenly experiences strong turbulence and must circle around for another try. The pilot notes that something has destroyed part of midtown New York below them. Below, Ben Grimm tells Ronan to get out of the way and put New York back to normal. Ronan blasts him with a staff. Reed catches Ben as Sue and Johnny attack. Ronan uses the staff, the "universal weapon" to put out Johnny's flame.

Not far away, Seed Nineteen's soldiers watch the battle. Seed Nineteen has an idea for Dreamcatcher that will help the Fantastic Four. Ronan recites the charges against the Four: assisting fugitives, causing rebellion, damaging property, etc. Before he can pass judgement, however, Seed Nineteen's soldiers attack him. During the battle, Dreamcatcher overloads the wires in Tesseract's brain and urges him to fight Ronan. The two battle on various dimensional levels at once, but Ronan eventually wins. Reed, in the meantime, has come up with a plan to defeat Ronan. Dreamcatcher must merge the powers of all four of the Fantastic Four while Fountain boosts the amount of energy she can handle. Then the power is given to Threshold, who takes Ronan down. Ben Grimm finally wrestles the universal weapon away from Ronan and knocks him out with it.

Threshold "congratulates" Reed with a kiss on the mouth. Sue interrupts. Reed is concerned about the people of Ironwater City and the planet Pyx -- Thanos is likely to destroy their world in frustration over being beaten. Threshold tells him that warriors from Halcyon are transporting to Pyx to defend them. The bonding between New York City and Ironwater City dissolve, and the seed soldiers return to their own dimension.

Afterward, at the Baxter Building, Johnny wants Reed to help set up a 3D imager to enhance a dance scene for his and Ben's dates. Reed refuses -- he's too busy trying to record the science Dreamcatcher placed in his mind. He's also in the opening stages of planning out a cube -- the device Thanos wanted him to build. The cube would be a reset button that would allow the holder to revamp the universe. Reed thinks it would be handy to have something like that if Thanos ever tries to invade Earth. Ben and Johnny think they'll just hook some of the army's lasers into their dance room light show for a cool effect.

On the last page, we see Reed continuing his work, with the ghostly image of Thanos looking over his shoulder.
