The Baxter Building security forces confront the zombie Fantastic Four through the observation window. Zombie Reed Richards pulls a pen out and tells the commanding officer that it’s been converted into a transportation device. He says it’s set to send the zombies into Central Park. All four of them huddle together and disappear. The soldiers rush into the room – and the zombies reappear. Zombie Susan merely threw an invisibility shield over them. They quickly overpower the guards.

The zombies are loose in the Baxter Building. Security seals off the upper half of the building, trapping the zombies (and victims) inside. Professor Storm tries to negotiate with the zombies, but they’re more interested in the science labs than in any offer Storm has to make them.

In Latveria, Reed, Sue and Ben are brought before Victor Van Damme, who is now the popular ruler of the country. Victor has already heard of Johnny’s problem, and consents to help. But he’ll only talk to Reed about his conditions. Dr. Storm, Sue and Johnny’s mother, appears and leads Sue and Ben out of the room. Dr. Storm is now working with Victor to study the Atlantis artifacts.

Victor tells Reed that the creature growing inside Johnny is called Zvilpogghua, a parasite that seeks out the strongest host possible on which to feed. There is a spell, developed by the Atlantians, that will removed the parasite without killing the host. Victor will save Johnny, but the price is that Victor wants to become the leader of the Fantastic Four. He plans to switch bodies with Reed. Reed realizes that Victor is responsible for infecting Johnny with the parasite. Victor wants to switch places with Reed to take away everything Reed values, and to make up for the damage done to his (Victor’s) reputation.

Elsewhere, Sue and Ben are picking up the distress call from the Baxter Building. They return to the room where Victor and Reed are finishing their “discussion”. Reed seems a little colder than usual, but the three hurry back to New York to save Johnny and deal with the zombies. Dr. Storm finds Victor crying in the library after the others have left.

Professor Storm speaks with the zombie Fantastic Four, who are building their own version of the transporter that brought them to this version of Earth. He assures them that no one will stop them when they try to leave. Zombie Sue tells him they’re not trying to leave – they plan to open the portal and bring other zombie superheroes to Earth, a new food supply.
