The alternate Earth contains the surviving victims of a zombie plague. Alternate Reed Richards explains that one infected super-hero from another world landed on Earth, then proceeded to pass the plague on to his world’s super-heroes, who then fed off every non-superhuman on the planet. Puzzled, the younger Richards asks why they’ve brought him here. Zombie Reed tells him it’s because they’ve run out of food, and grabs him.

Reed escapes down a manhole into the water tunnels beneath the city, eluding his pursuers. He climbs back up into a destroyed Times Square. Suddenly he’s webbed to the wall, and the zombie version of Spider-Man and other superheroes make plans to eat him. They’re stopped by the zombie version of the Hulk, who wants Reed for his own dinner.

A rain of cars stops the zombies and allows Reed to escape. His rescuer turns out to be Magneto, still uninfected and at large in the city.

Back on Reed’s Earth, Johnny has been looking for Reed, but security says Reed never left the building. Johnny, Sue and Ben check Reed’s lab, and discover the transporter.

Magneto leads Reed to his hiding place, made of discarded metal pieces that provide shelter for the last uninfected survivors on Earth. Their group has already been discovered once, and half of them were killed. Magneto is the last uninfected human with any kind of powers; the rest of his band are regular humans. He introduces Reed to them: an insurance salesman, his diabetic daughter, and a NYC police officer, who tries to shoot Reed before realizing he’s healthy. She comments on Reed’s resemblance to zombie Reed, and Reed explains he’s from another version of Earth. He suddenly realizes that by traveling here, he’s opened a bridge from one Earth to the other, and that the zombies can now cross the bridge to a new food supply – Reed’s Earth.

Sue, Johnny and Ben are standing in Reed’s lab when the portal suddenly re-opens. The zombie Fantastic Four are invading.
