Picking up immediately where the last issue left off, both Cap and Hank see news coverage of Jan’s attack. Cap drags Hank outside the pub and goads him into becoming Giant Man. The fight that follows ends up in a nearby construction area, where Captain America demonstrates that the battle doesn’t always go to the strongest.

At the Triskelion, Banner and Betty Ross recap some of the events of the last issue, while revealing some of the Chitauri’s attempts to control humanity. Tony Stark and Natasha discuss the upcoming Micronesia strike, while Hawkeye calls his family to say good-bye to them. Stark claims to be nervous about the mission, and reveals that he usually has a few drinks before getting into the Iron Man suit.

Steve Rogers stops in for a visit with Janet Pym, who, far from being grateful for his efforts on her behalf with her husband, gets angry and tells him off. He leaves, ready to take his frustration out on the aliens.

The issue ends with SHIELD forces and the Ultimates on their way to Micronesia.
