The headquarters of the Ultimates is now giving care to those hurt during the Hulk’s rampage through New York. General Nick Fury guides Betty Ross to visit Dr. Bruce Banner who is quarantined and hospitalized. Betty and Fury decide to hide the connection linking Banner to the Hulk, and in the process, make the Ultimates look more like heroes.
Meanwhile the Ultimates enjoy the press, Thor goes on the record saying that he wasn’t a member but he would be there in emergencies. Jan Pym puts down her husband, Hank Pym, who is still unconscious after the fight with the Hulk.
Later, at Tony Stark’s mansion on Park Avenue, Tony, Steven Rogers, and Thor greet and head off to the dining room. They discuss Thor’s past and his views on life and the Ultimates. When asked, Tony tells his teammates that he has a brain tumor and that he has anywhere from six months to five years to live, hence his charity and super heroic efforts.
To calm the uncomfortable silence, Tony gives Rogers a gift, the helmet Captain America wore during WW2. Raising their glasses, they toast to absent friends.
At the Pym residence, Jan tries to get Hank ready to go but Hank protests. Jan reassures Hank that he was brave and amazing when dealing with the Hulk, but Hanks only strikes out and accuses Jan of seducing her teammates. When the conversation heats up, Jan belittles Hank and he responds by slapping her. Jan slams a radio into her husbands face and shrinks down only to have Hank spray her with bug spray.
Taking refuge under the floorboards, Jan is beaten, gasping, and little bigger then a wasp. Hank puts on his helmet and orders an army of ants to attack his wife. Things go quiet, Jan is nowhere to be seen, and Hank can’t find her as she is too small. Alone among the ruin of his office, he only feels regret.
