In a flashback to World War II, we see Captain America leading a team aboard a speeding train, where he confronts a Nazi commander who is actually a Chitauri. Cap blows the train up and stops it from delivering its cargo of parts for a bomb meant to level London. Moving ahead twelve months, we see the meeting that sends Captain America to the Iceland mission described in Ultimates Issue 1.

The action returns to the present day, where the SHIELD airfleet is poised over Micronesia. At the Triskelion, Janet Pym goes in search of a nurse and discovers the Chitauri have infiltrated SHIELD. She immediately shrinks to Wasp-size and attempts to escape.

In the meantime, SHIELD troops hit the ground, and Thor reports back that the base seems to be deserted. As the troops and the Ultimates search the compound, they discover a nuclear device that detonates seconds later.

Apparently the last of the Ultimates left, Jan calls for help, but is captured by a man who looks very much like the Nazi commander aboard the train back in World War II.
