A group of men are talking in the Tokyo Club in New York City. They’re expecting a meeting with Hammerhead to discuss his supposed take-over of the Kingpin’s position. There’s a knock at the door, and the door is suddenly kicked in, revealing Elektra Nachios with a message from Wilson Fisk. She’s here to kill anyone who plans to break their agreement with him.
Two men and a girl are talking on a playground. The men, Steven Grant and Marc Spector, are almost identical; they are discussing Spider-man and the problem of organized crime. Grant considers the Kingpin to be the real target; Spector is concerned about Spider-man. But both agree that Hammerhead is ready to take the city and needs to be stopped. But, Spector insists, the Kingpin should come first. No, Grant argues, take out Hammerhead now before he can build a base of power. The two men finally agree to attack Hammerhead first, then Fisk. The girl, who has been silent until now, tells the men that “he” is here and it’s time to go to work. All three look up to see the Moon Knight looking down at them. He also tells them, “it’s time,” and we discover the four characters framed by the pupil of a man’s eye. They represent the voices that are speaking inside Marc Spector’s mind. He’s in a business meeting with associates, and requests a break for lunch. When the others have left, he opens a door to reveal the Moon Knight costume and weapons, and declares again, “It’s time.”
In a Brooklyn police station, Jean DeWolfe and a detective are questioning “Ox”, one of the Enforcers. They threaten to send him back to Rykers Prison permanently if he doesn’t give them the location of Hammerhead. Meanwhile, at Midtown High School, Peter is still thinking about the Black Cat when Mary Jane Watson walks up to his table in the cafeteria. She wants to know if they’re friends, and if she can sit down. Peter replies yes to both. They discuss the reason they broke up; Peter is still afraid that his life is too dangerous to include MJ, and that danger is never going to go away. MJ insists they still love each other and that Peter has no right to just put up a wall. He points out that one of their friends is dead, and it could have been MJ. He’d rather see her alive. She counters with the fact that he’s shutting everyone and everything out – his friends, his classes, his life as anything other than Spider-man. Peter finally gets up and walks away. Behind MJ, Liz Allen comments that she told MJ not to talk to Peter.
The action moves to an undisclosed location where a group of men is being beaten up. Danny Rand and Shang-Chi are in Little Russia, trying to get the location of Hammerhead out of members of the Russian mob. One man finally provides an address, which turns out to be identical to the one Spider-man has on the back of Hammerhead’s photo given him by Wilson Fisk. Spider-man is across the street from Hammerhead’s address, and is engaged in an internal debate. Hammerhead is a bad guy, but Spider-man doesn’t want to be doing the Kingpin any favors. He’s interrupted by the arrival of Black Cat. She’s been trailing Hammerhead and happened to see Spider-man on the roof. Black Cat asks him to walk away from this one. Hammerhead will destroy Fisk, and then Spider-man can nail Hammerhead. In the middle of the argument, they hear gunfire, and rush to investigate.
They find themselves in the middle of a multiple standoff among Hammerhead and the Enforcers, Danny Rand and Shang-Chi, Elektra, and the Moon Knight. Spider-man stands in the middle of room, trying to figure out who are the good guys and who are the bad guys.
