At Midtown High School, roll is being called in class. Peter Parker is absent. He’s currently dressed as Spider-man, being held prisoner by Hammerhead, and about to be shot. When Hammerhead pulls the trigger, however, Spider-man has webbed his gun hand, and the webbing catches flame. In retaliation, Hammerhead throws a grenade. The Black Cat and Spider-man swing to safety, although Spider-man insists on going back to help. However, a witness accuses him of causing the trouble at the restaurant, and the police begin shooting. Captain DeWolfe arrives on the scene and tells the officers to quit shooting. DeWolfe then begins ordering her officers to find Hammerhead, detain the Chinatown gang members, and round up witnesses.

Unknown to DeWolfe, she’s being filmed during all this. A man with a hand-held video camera is seated in a nearby taxi. His driver identification card gives his name as Steven Grant. As the investigation begins, he drives away. On the rooftop across the street from the police action, the Black Cat kisses Spider-man. She explains that she didn’t die after her failed attempt to steal from Wilson Fisk, and that she’s interested in going out with Spider-man. She confesses that she’s the one who leaked the information on Walter Dini and began doing research on Hammerhead, with the idea of possibly joining him for an assault on the Kingpin. She’s still determined to ruin the Kingpin by any means necessary. Spider-man leaves hastily, realizing he’s late for something.

In the meantime, the man in the cab enters an apartment to find a woman pointing a gun at him. She reminds him he’s supposed to call before he comes up to the apartment and then asks how things went with Hammerhead. He tells her a fight happened, but he just observed. As he walks away, the woman, Marlene, asks him who he is right now: Steven Grant, Marc Spector, or Moon Knight? A girlfriend has the right to know which personality she’s talking to.

Peter Parker returns home and changes into street clothes, thinking over his encounter with the Black Cat. Maybe it wouldn’t be a bad idea to date her – she understands the need for a costume, she can take care of herself, and she’s fun. He suddenly realizes his aunt is home. They make arrangements for dinner. While she’s out of the room, Peter discovers a call on the answering machine. His teacher has called to tell Aunt May that Peter walked out of class. Peter deletes the message.

In Fisk Towers, Wilson Fisk and Walter Dini are watching news coverage of the fight in Chinatown. A woman who owns a store is complaining that now that the Kingpin is out of the picture, there’s nothing to keep the gangs under control. Dini apologizes for giving Fisk the advice to keep his head down, and comments that if there were any way to stop this situation, he’d do it. In the next panel, we see something sharp distort the fabric of Dini’s shirt. Elektra Nachios has stabbed him in the back. Fisk orders her to dispose of the body and the chair, and that he’s ready to “clean up” the situation.
