The Goblin has Spider-Man high in the air. Spider-Man is confused, unsure of what's happening to him. The beast hurls him to the ground and Spider-Man is still in shock. As he starts spinning as many webs as he can all he can think is how he hopes this work. When he lands in his web and is hurled into the air, he starts screaming in success like a madman.
Still in shock after what just happened to him, Spidey takes off after the beast. The Goblin heads back to the school but Spider-Man stops him short. As Spidey lets the punches fly, the Goblin just grabs him by the head and hurls him towards the ground again. Trying to recover, Spidey shoots a pair of webs at the Goblin but misses, hitting a chopper instead. The Goblin notices this and heads toward the men inside it instead. Spider-Man shoots a web at the Goblin's cape but he just throws the cap away into the river, along with Spider-Man.
The police are now in full pursuit and are attempting to take the Goblin down. The Goblin is ready with his own weaponry, but Spidey interferes, ready to take the full force of the blow. As he stands there grappling with the Goblin, Spider-Man questions the creature about what he is doing and why. What they don't notice is the choppers ready to shoot them both down. As Spidey dodges the shots, the Goblin takes the full force of the blasts and is still unaffected by them. All he can say is "PPPAAARRRKER!!!”. As the Goblin leaps for Spider-Man, Spidey jumps over his head and the Goblin falls into the river, seemingly killed from the fall.
After all is said and done, the police chase after Spider-Man. They try to arrest him but Spidey just leaps and dodges the bullets to safety, leaving the police to wonder where he went. Back at school, Peter seems to have crawled out from under a chalkboard and is unharmed, aside from a few cuts and bruises. Mary Jane runs over to him, and, as the gang are talking about what happened, Harry proclaims that the monster was his father. Everyone just looks at him in confusion, but believe that he was just delusional. As Harry leaves, Aunt May runs over to Peter and hugs him for dear life, but all Peter can worry about is Harry.
Back at the river, police boats are scanning the area but cannot seem to find anything. But under the water, something is waiting...
