At Fisk Towers, Wilson Fisk is sitting up in bed, wide awake, as Walter Dini enters and tells him that Elektra Nachios, a young woman new to Fisk’s employ, is dealing with the “tablet situation”. Fisk wants the task done tonight. On a rooftop across town, Elektra is taking on both Spider-Man and the Black Cat, using a variety of martial arts weapons. The Black Cat fights back, first with fists and kicks, then with hair-pulling and wrestling moves. Elektra, temporarily held at bay, demands that the Black Cat give back what she stole. The Black Cat replies that she’s not her father, and wrests the sai away from Elektra. Hands now free, Elektra strikes back, sending the other woman flying into Spider-Man.
The Black Cat leaps back into battle, only to discover that Spider-Man has attached her to the roof with a strand of webbing. He approaches Elektra, hoping to convince her to leave them alone, but she attacks him, finally kicking him off the roof. Two strands of webbing save him and allow him to swing to safety. He climbs up the side of the building to the roof. In the meantime, he berates himself for getting involved in the whole situation when he should have known better and already has a girlfriend. When he reaches the roof, both women are gone. He recalls the comment the Black Cat made, that she’s not her father, and puzzles over it.
Walter Dini is reporting to the Kingpin that Elektra failed to retrieve the tablet, but that the Black Cat’s comment about her father could be a clue. In the Parker home, Aunt May wakes up to hear the phone ringing. The caller is Mary Watson – MJ is missing. Aunt May goes to wake Peter up.
