At the Osborn’s mansion, Harry is fast asleep when suddenly he hears his name screamed out. He goes to investigate but discovers his house aflame and his mother dead. Harry spots a dark figure and has a fireball hurled towards him. He manages to leap free but is left alone screaming for help.

Back at the Parker home, Aunt May is in shock and Peter is heart-broken. Their loved one, Ben, has been murdered in cold blood. May gives her statement about the events but begins to break down crying. As Peter tries to console her, he hears the police talking about the murderer on the run to an abandoned warehouse. He takes off and everyone assumes that he is grieving, but the grieving is over. Peter is now out for revenge.

Officers have the warehouse surrounded and it looks like there will be bloodshed if the stand-down isn't ended quickly. The shooter is getting ready to take down the cops but Spider-Man will have his way with him first. Spidey reveals himself to his uncles murderer, so in a desperate move, the murderer begins to shoot blindly at him. Spidey leaps out of the way and confronts the murderer. As the murderer leaps toward him, Spidey gives him one shot in order to take him down, and discovers who the murderer is. The man that robbed the deli, the man that Peter could have easily stopped, is the man who killed Peter's Uncle Ben.

Peter stands bewildered, debating what he should do to this man. The police are about to call in the S.W.A.T. team when a man is pushed through the window of the warehouse. Hanging from a rope, the police find him barely conscious and ask him a few questions as Spider-Man looks on. As Peter is finally alone again, he begins to think about the last words his uncle said to him. Peter realizes that a great power has been bestowed to him, and with that great power, must come great responsibility.
