Aunt May is on the phone to Gwen’s mother, asking when she’ll be coming to collect Gwen. She looks in horror as she hears that Gwen’s mother will never be coming to get her. May starts shouting into the phone when suddenly Gwen’s mother hangs up. Gwen looks on and can only say, “she’s a piece of work” before walking out of the room.
The Impostor is standing in the middle of the store saying he’ll electrocute her if spider-Man doesn’t back off. With one quick move, Spider-Man webs the Impostor’s hand and pulls the Impostor towards him, letting the hostage escape. Spider-Man then whacks the Impostor across the face sending him backwards. Spider-Man shouts at the Impostor that he has framed him for murder and robbery and he won’t get away with it. He lifts the Impostor by the neck and throws him into a nearby crate. The Impostor starts begging for him to take the money and go but Spider-Man responds by yanking the Impostor towards him via web. Spider-Man asks why dress as him and the Impostor nervously replies that he thought it would be a cool gimmick and nothing personal. Spider-Man grabs the Impostor and take off his mask while strangling him. The Impostor replies with “P-please…I’m-I’m just some guy…”
Spider-Man throws the Impostor into the bags of money enraged. Spider-Man starts screaming that all this has happened because of “some guy”. Spider-Man starts strangling the Impostor once again while screaming into his face. Suddenly he realises what he is doing and lets go of the nearly chocked to death Impostor.
Outside Captain Jean DeWolff of the NYPD shouts for the Impostor to come out with mask off and hands over his head. Suddenly a rush of people burst through the doors of the store relieved that they are ok. Captain DeWolff and her team walk in the find the Impostor, mask off, hanging upside down from the ceiling. A note attached to the Impostor reads: From the REAL Spider-Man. The Impostor says that it was all him and to just get him out of here.
Peter goes home with the thought that he nearly killed someone. He meets Aunt May outside who says they need to do something about Gwen. Peter tells Gwen that the Impostor is in custody. Aunt May asks if Gwen would like to stay with them and Gwen gratefully agrees while sobbing.
Peter and MJ are sitting on the football field benches Peter tells MJ that Gwen is moving in and MJ gets jealous. An argument brakes out that MJ is only saying this because of Gwen. MJ shouts that every night she relives the bridge incident. She says that Peter is going to die in the super hero costume. She shouts that on top of all her problems he is living with another girl that is in love with him. Peter disagrees and MJ says she is not stupid. Peter replies with the fact that her father died and MJ bursts out with the problems of her parents’ marriage. She then says that Peter never asks about her well being or what is going on in her life. Peter, wide opened asks if they are done. MJ gets up and walks off only saying “Yeah”
