A group of skateboard and roller-skate prone thugs mug the local civilians of New York. Suddenly Spider-Man enters the scene and dispatches with the thugs with little effort, only asking for them to have a least matching costumes next time. Peter quickly makes his way to school where his class is being taught about moles. Peter frantically bursts through the door of his class and slips, making an embarrassing display. After class, Peter and Mary Jane start discussing the event with him and Doctor Octopus. Apparently Kraven’s TV show got cancelled after the incident with him and Peter and Peter only replies with ‘Well, now he really has a reason to hate me’
Peter and MJ make their way to the football pitches where Peter tells MJ he is grounded. After some light combustion over the topic Harry suddenly appears. Frantically Peter and MJ jump off their seats to meet him. Harry has an encounter with Gwen in which the two seem to connect. Harry then tells Peter that his father invited him for dinner. Peter and Mary Jane raise shocked questions on the subject that Norman, Harry’s father, was the giant goblin that attacked their school. Harry protests and says because of the crazy things that were happening he said it out of fear. Peter then tells Harry he is grounded and won’t be able to come over. Peter makes his way home, thoughts rushing through his head about the Goblin incident. He knew it was Harry’s father and he doesn’t want to have anything to do with him. Peter approaches his house as a limo is parked outside, as peter enters he finds Aunt May and Norman’s personnel assistant, Ms. Brooks. The reason she is here is to take Peter back to Harry’s house; Aunt May agrees not noticing Peter’s failed attempts to disagree.
Peter travels in the limo and travels to Harry’s house. While travelling up to his room Harry mentions Mary Jane is in love with Peter and also mentions he likes Gwen Stacy. They reach the top floor where Peter meets Harry’s therapist. Harry tells Peter to enter his dad’s room. Peter enters the room to find the video of him fighting Doctor Octopus. Norman enters the scene bursting out laughing about the incident. Peter tenses and starts getting scared. Norman tells Peter that he is the way he is because of him. He then says that Peter is going to stop Peter from being Spider-Man anymore. Peter asks how did he survive. Norman produces a syringe containing an orange fluid. He injects himself and begins transforming. To his horror Peter stares blankly at Norman, as the Goblin monster.
