Peter is looking around, checking on bystanders when he is attacked from behind by a large metal tentacle. Doctor Octopus picks up Spiderman but Spidey smacks Doc Ock and gets free. As he webs up Doc Ock's tentacles, Spidey decides to give him fashion tips but realizes joking around will not help in this battle as Doc Ock easily breaks the webbing.So turning to another of his great verbal strategy, Spidey jokingly asks him about his origin which meets with bad results as Doctor Octopus justs smacks Spidey down to the ground again. Once again Doc Ock picks him up and chokes him nearly to death but just decides to electrocute him and flick him out the window where Spiderman finally does black out.

Spiderman wakes up to find New York City SWAT members pointing guns at him and are about to arrest him when several S.H.I.E.L.D. agents arrive to take Spiderman away with them. Spidey just uses his vast intellect to get away and jumps in the water. After swimming for awhile, Spidey stops on the peer opposite to the Power Plant and realizes he should not have takin this battle so lightly. Justin Hammer is making a statement about todays events on T.V. as Peter and Mary Jane look on. Peter has been beaten badly and is upset how Hammer is hoping Doc Ock and Spiderman are brought to justice. Peter just blames all of his problems on his costume and makes wise cracks about how everytime he puts it on, someone is trying to blame something on him.

Peter is emotionally upset about this and kisses Mary Jane goodbye. As she leaves Peter turns on the T.V. to hear about more coverage on the Kraven the Hunter story and see's 2 personality's hoping that Kraven beats him badly. After the days events this just upsets Peter even more and he sits down to contemplate the days events when Aunt May begins to make her way down the stair's while Peter is still in bandages and half of his Spiderman costume.
