Spider-Man tries to hold his own against the Kingpin, but is soon stunned by one of the Kingpin's lackeys, Electro. They unmask him, and toss his dazed body out of the office window. An unmasked Spider-man comes to just in time to save himself from the fall. Bruised from the encounter with the Kingpin and feeling down because of his failure, Peter cancels his date with Mary Jane the following day.

Back at Fisk Towers, the Kingpin kills one his thugs and places Spider-Man's mask on the dead body, which frames Spidey for the murder.

The next day in school, Peter seems to make good with MJ; and thanks to a class discussion, he realizes his encounter with the Kingpin was recorded by the cameras in his office.
