Powers: According to Hawkeye, Black Widow has million-dollar enhancements, most likely making her faster, stronger, and more durable than the average human. Her fighting expertise and strategic abilities have also been finely honed to perfection, and she also has a wide array of weapons, including: tear-gas pellets, a radio transmitter, spring-loaded cables, and a small device capable of emitting a high frequency electrostatic charge. Her costume also contains built-in microscopic suction cups, which allow her to walk on walls.
History: The Black Widow is a descendant of Russia’s royal family, and was found abandoned as a child by Ivan Petrovitch, a Russian soldier.
Natasha is a graduate of the Red Room, a Moscow-based covert training academy. She then married a man named Alexi Shostakov, but all that is known of their marriage is that it was short lived. Shostakov is most likely dead.
Black Widow originally worked for the K.G.B., and during her times there she first learned of the existence of aliens. Natasha then became a Red Dwarf, a spy that would gather intelligence information and sell it to the highest bidder, back to the person from whom they originally stole the information, or they would show it to an organization they were hoping to join to show that they were of importance.
While working as a Red Dwarf, she gathered information concerning Latveria while working undercover at the Latverian embassy. Mr. Golog, the Latverian ambassador to America, found her out, and captured her. She killed Golog, and was rescued by Spider-Man, who overheard the gunshots. She ended up knocking out Spider-Man and taking his web-shooters. Nick Fury showed up and she got on his helicopter, telling him that this was all to prove herself to him.
Natasha then joined S.H.I.E.L.D. as part of The Ultimates’ black ops program with Clint Barton, a.k.a. Hawkeye, and former Brotherhood leaders Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch. They have been currently been taking out alien cells that are planning planetary domination, and are soon to be upgraded to the public team as soon as their backgrounds have been falsified.
