Ultimate Elizabeth Braddock Profile

Powers: Colonel Braddock possesses formidible telepathic abilities. The ultimate use of her powers involves the detonation of a "psychic grenade" in the mind of her adversary, disrupting his or her brain synapses for extended periods of time.

History: Colonel Elizabeth Braddock was a member of the Psi-Division of S.T.R.I.K.E., the British division of S.H.I.E.L.D. Along with her partner, Inspector Dai Thomas, Betsy traveled to Scotland to assist the X-Men in the capture of David Xavier, Professor Charles Xavier's son. Upon locating David the group attempted to subdue him before he could take the lives of any more innocents. After taking control of Wolverine's body, David jumped into the body of a truck driver. He used to the truck to plow over Wolverine and crash the truck. At that moment Colonel Braddock arrived on the scene and was promptly taken over by David Xavier, unbeknownst to any of the X-Men.

Still inside Betsy's body, David made his final attack on the X-Men. In a final act of bravery Betsy forced her conciousness into control of her body and attempted to shut down David for good. She begged for Charles to kill her, as it would be the only way to defeat David. Unwilling to act, Xavier hesitated, but did not have to perform the deed himself, as Colossus appeared and smashed Betsy/David with a car, ending both their lives.

Months later, Professor Braddock, father of Betsy and her twin brother Brian, attended a small soiree at the newly reopened Xavier Institute. Professor Braddock had some startling revelations for all parties attending. His daughter Betsy had not perished. In fact, she had inserted her conciousness into the body of a young Japanese woman named Kwannon who had been in a coma for ten years. Kwannon greatfully allowed Betsy to take her place in the world, allowing Betsy to return to the land of the living. She was immediately rehired by S.T.R.I.K.E. and is currently working with her brother Brian to form a superhero team not unlike The Ultimates for the European Union.
