Ultimate Mastermind Profile

Powers: Assuming his powers are similar to his Marvel Universe counter part, Mastermind possesses the ability to create detailed psychic illusions. He can also access the deepest fears of his subjects, and bring them to life.

History: Very little is known about Mastermind, other than his affiliation with mutant terrorist group known as The Brotherhood. Dressed in all black, with black sunglasses and a tightly pulled back pony-tail, it is difficult to guess his age and intentions. He speaks very little, and has yet to use his abilities on panel. He is known, however, to hit on the Scarlet Witch (issue #3), and play chess by himself (issue #15).

Mastermind used his abilities to mask the members of the Brotherhood during their raid on London, making the team appear to be local police officers. He also lent a hand during the X-Men's escape from Weapon X. Sometime thereafter, Mastermind left the team. Upon Magneto's return, Mastermind returned as well, ready to serve the self proclaimed mutant messiah. He was quickly put to work, and helped destroy the Brooklyn Bridge in New York, as well as steal hundreds of priceless paintings from the Louvre in Paris, France.
