Powers: Aliens with the ability to take human form.
History: One of the eleven known alien species currently occupying the Earth, the Chitauri arrived on Earth in 1777 and have been responsible for many acts of genocide, particularly World War II.
The 8' tall, reptilian-like Chitauri have the ability to take human form, which they used to gain access to the German politics in the '20s and helped give rise to German Socialism and Adolf Hitler.
By 1945, the Chitauri have been driven out of Africa and Europe, and had their Japanese training camps bombed. Their missle in Iceland was taken care of by Captain America, he caused it to explode over the North Atlantic, but Cap was frozen for fifty-seven years.
The race was thought to be annihilated, but a new Chitauri corpse was found in a river near Calcutta. There has been four sightings of the race in Eastern Europe, three in Singapore, and Hawkeye, Black Widow, and six hundred sleep agents were recently sent in and destroyed their hiding place in New York.
The Chitauri have been organizing everything from mind-control drugs in the water supply to infiltration of the nation media. But, this seems to only be a small portion of what their actually planning: a full planetary takeover.
