Ultimate Rogue Profile

Powers: Rogue possesses the ability to absorb the abilities, memories, and essence of anyone she comes in skin-to-skin contact with. Rogue appears to have a degree of control over her powers, only absorbing the information or abilities she needs.

History: Little is known about the mutant known only as Rogue. A captive of Weapon X, Rogue was sent to Japan to gather information about the X-Men. Rogue, hiding in a throng of Japanese X-Men fans, snuck up on Colossus, and used her absorption abilities to discern to location of the X-Men's base of operations in New York. She was then part of the strike force that stormed the Xavier Institute and captured the X-Men for the Weapon X program. By absorbing the abilities of Marvel Girl, Rogue was able to enter Iceman's mind and force him to remember his appendectomy... without the anesthesia!

After the mutants were broken out of the Weapon X compound, Rogue chose to join The Brotherhood of Mutants. It was later revealed, however, that Rogue had left the group and started out on her own for parts unknown. Later on, when Magneto finally returned, Rogue rejoined the group, and was part of the Brotherhood sect that destroyed the Brooklyn Bridge. The Ultimates, America's premier super-group, tracked Rogue and the rest of her squad to their location, where they were waiting to teleport back to the Brotherhood's base. Rogue and Toad made a break for it together, but Toad broke his ankle from carrying Rogue's extra weight. Rogue took the opportunity to absorb Toad's abilities and tried to escape on her own, but was taken down by Hawkeye, and apparently captured by The Ultimates and imprisioned in Camp X-Factor, along with Xavier and Nightcrawler. The three escaped, and Rogue helped to evacuate Miami due to the threat of a nuclear blast by Magneto.

Xavier successfully convinced S.H.I.E.L.D. to pardon Rogue, and she is now a resident of the Xavier Institute, with permission from her parents. She now fights alongside the X-Men while still working with Professor Xavier to bring her mutant powers under control.
