History: Mary Jane started off her friendship with Peter Parker as a science partner. However over the past few weeks their relationship has grown into much more, the two of them are now considered an item. MJ has always been there to comfort Peter whenever something bad has happend. Recently Peter revealed to MJ that he is Spider-Man. MJ has also confessed to Harry Osborn that she loved Peter Parker [or so Harry says].
Very recently MJ was kidnapped by Norman Osborn. And tossed off a bridge. Amazingly, Peter succeeded with saving MJ, and placed MJ in a cab to escape from the devastation that Norman had caused. After the incident with Norman Osborn it seemed that things between her and Peter had gotten better. It appeared that MJ was loving the fact that her boyfriend was a super hero. However, this was not the case. It turns out that MJ has been having constant nightmares about what transpired on the bridge and how close she came to dying. When she discussed this with Peter she decided that it was best for the two of them to break up. She was last seen leaving Peter on the bleachers after discussing their break up with him.
After a painful breakup with Peter, he continued to be in love with her. One night, he came to her house and confessed his love to her. She responded that she couldn't deal with being the girlfriend of a superhero. He walked off in the pouring rain. That night, she wrote a letter confesses her love for Peter and how much she needs him. She did not give it to him until the night of a party in which neither of them knew the other was going. MJ came dressed in a skimpy leather outfit and dyed black hair courtesy of her friend Liz. At the party, a teenage mutant named Geldoff was showing off his powers by blowing up cars. Once the cops showed up, everyone escaped. MJ, Liz, Peter, and Gwen all caught the bus, and when they got off, MJ gave him the letter, but told him to read it when he got home. As soon as he read it, he bolted over to her house and the two reconcilled and shared a passionate kiss.
